Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly the new season progresses, and how much of what they're anticipating unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to get a lot out of it," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a few fans create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
